To nurture the development of our preschoolers, we use the “Belonging, Being and Becoming” Early Years Learning Framework. The main focus of each of these elements are:

Belonging: giving children a sense of belonging because of the relationships they have with their family, community, culture and place.

Being: allowing children to simply be children and enjoy the here and now.

Becoming: giving children space to form their own identity to form the basis of the adult they will become.

We use the following learning outcomes as our framework for observing, planning and documenting each child’s learning:

  • Children have a sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of belonging
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are confident communicators

Our aim is to give our preschoolers the best environment to transition into their primary school years with confidence and ease.
